About the Author

Christine Davis is the author and illustrator of five magical books for animal lovers—For Every Dog An Angel, For Every Cat An Angel, Forever Paws, The Shelter Dog and Old Dog and the Christmas Wish. Chris had always wanted to write a Christmas book, but never could have imagined an idea would come to her while she was in the shower on Christmas Day 2005. She heard a story been told about an old, forgotten dog who wanted to leave the sadness of his earthly existence.

“But how will the dog get to heaven?” she asked out loud.

The answer came immediately. “The Nativity.”

Thus, began a story about a forgotten dog who sees a neighbor’s Nativity display on Christmas Eve and knows he has one more task to complete in the short time he has left on earth.

For those of you who believe in Christmas miracle…and for those of you not quite certain.
